Himalayan Motor Sport

Over the years, the Raid de Himalaya has worked consistently to reduce its carbon footprint (Carbon di-oxide emission and noise pollution) in its endeavor to make the event as carbon neutral as possible. This has been achieved through several measures:

  • Tree plantation drives
  • Promotion of solar energy in villages of Ladakh through provision of solar lanterns, solar lighting and heating panels

In addition, the Raid is closely associated with the Tread Lightly program which has the following mandate:

  • No off-road rallying
  • Environmental security through:
» Decibel check as per international norms
    » Spillage prevention policy
  • Promotion of low speed, low sound rallying for tourism
