About the Raid de Himalaya

Over the years, the Raid de Himalaya has taken on an iconic status and a reputation for being the toughest motorsport event in India. From 16 participants in 1999, the rally has grown to include over 150 teams in 2016. The organisers have also had to contend with blizzards, earthquakes and snow storms, over the last 18 Raids. As a result, Safety and Evacuation systems have been refined for the fastest response to mitigate potentially fatal situations. The Raid organisers have also worked consistently to reduce the event’s carbon footprint (carbon di-oxide emission and noise pollution) to make the event as carbon neutral as possible.
