Registrations for the Raid de Himalaya 2017 Open

The entries for the Raid de Himalaya, the world’s highest rally and India’s most anticipated motorsport event, opened on April 15, 2017, and will close on September 15, 2017.

The Raid de Himalaya, now in its 19th edition, is the only Indian motorsport event listed on the off-road rallies calendar of Federation InternationaleMotorcyclisme (FIM), Geneva, Switzerland. Its – through some of the world's highest and toughest motorable roads and passes such as the Jalori Pass, Rohtang Pass, Kunzum La, Baralacha La, Tanglang La and Khardung La – is an extreme test of mental endurance and physical tolerance. For a week, men and machines contend with 18,000 kilometres of hostile terrain and inclement weather to achieve the almost impossible goal set before them.

For car and bike enthusiasts in India and across the world, the Raid de Himalaya is a much anticipated date on their annual calendar. The event’s growing popularity over the years has seen participation levels exceed 200 teams in car and bike categories.

The Raid de Himalaya is open to professional as well as amateur motorsport lovers. The rally runs in three separate categories: X-Treme, Moto+Quad and Adventure Trial.

Early entries will be open from April 15-May 15, 2017; standard entries from May 16-July 15, 2017; late entries from July 16- August 31, 2017) and very late entries from September 1-30, 2017.

The Raid de Himalaya has been organised by the Himalayan Motorsport Association and Maruti-Suzuki since 1999, making it one of India’s oldest international motorsport events.
